Technology does help!

In a country like India with one billion of population, why is that there are only a few artists who keep performing in India and around the world? This question leads to a few more questions – What are the reasons behind the success of these artists? Aren’t there more artists of same calibre? If there are, why are they not equally famous? What are the issues that an artist needs to work on alongside his/her art in order to be commercially successful?

In this new era where communication has become easier and faster, there are still many artists who are unaware of technological advancements and still continuing to rely on the slow pace forms of communcation. Unfortunately majority of artists in India still do not use internet to expand their network and become a part of a larger musician community nationally and internationally. There is a need to educate artists about how they can use the technology in the field of performing arts and I am trying to think of ways I can use this technology and help educate the younger generation of musicians in India so that we can carry forward our rich cultural heritage.
